Room Registration Date
Hi peeps!!! Be noted that rooms are ready for booking (through email or letter) starting today!!! Meanwhile, we are aware of the problem faced by students - date of room registration. Hence, after contacted our residential village's manager- Mr Wan, he agreed to change the room registration date to 25th January (Wednesday). For those who are returning late, you may register on 26th or 27th Jan. Students who come early are allowed to register on 21st /22nd Jan.

Does register here means that we get to move our stuff into our new room starting from 21st January?

Yuuki: Yes, you can register, get room keys and move into the new room. However, offices are closed during Chinese Neew Year.
jedajedi: after the room is booked, keep updated with the respective supervisors. From What I know from Mr Wan, it is ok to register and move into the room if it is vacant before 21st jan.
laila suria: Yes, it is possible. Only if the room is already vacant.
i already apply for v3..since there is no news whether it accepted or not,i changed my mind n want to book v4...b'coz if i late to book,v4 will be fully booked...may i do that??..i laready contact sv v3 but no reply
Farhaenn: Have you call Pn. Roshidah (SV V3)? Try to call her mobile phone number and ask her about your application status.
i have email Pn.Roshidah using her mobile number 0195644*** and also her office since 3/1/2012 but not to avail.. FYI, i jave already sent an email on 3/1/2012 also but no reply... as my friend (not rummate) is there i asked his helkp pertaining this matter but sadly Pn. Rashidah told him off that email or letter will not be entertained.. this creates a very bad situation as how abt students from overseas especially form sabah and sarawak... at least answering the phone should be a way right?? and all office cant be reaced at any time and no emails are repylied on the status of this condition. pLz RCSU or even RC management repsong on this situation asap..

Is it possible for me to register my room on the 15th and then move in straight away? I can't make it on the 20th and 21st because I will be busy and registering after CNY is already too late for me.

Anon: You can book your room before 15th and confirm with supervisor whether you get the room or not. You only can move in if the current student have check out from your room. It is compulsory for students in this semester to check out before 16th January.

I sent a booking email to Mr Lakhbir as stated in the memo, but no confirmation of room yet. I tried calling Pn Roshidah but nobody answers. Any other ways to confirm? And what time does the office open on 21st Jan? If I booked for V3, should I go to V3 or V5 office to register?

RCSU, seriously.. You all gotta suggest a good system to the upper office. Reserve room but we could not pick our room? Early bird gets the worms never apply in UTP. And not allow to go back early to get a room. Instead of setting the date just right before a day or two before CNY to allow student to get room. Who will able to go back just before the big day of CNY? Rise in transportation fares (especially air flight) In peninsular, risk of traffic congestion in festive period and risk of not getting a bus ticket back home too!And not all people stay in Perak. Malaysia is not BIG, but in is NOT SMALL either. I mean, please be considerate. We understand it is hard to arrange a perfect time. But a plan of mutual understanding is important too.

anonymous: that's why we asked for all students to apply via email/letter. then keep updated to yr respctive SV.
I got some question...i do ask for booking for v3 or v4 through email but in the end when my room-ate went back to utp and ask the officer...he still didnt manage to book the room for us...i;m suppost to move to v3 or v4 or v5 but i end up stay in v1 because all village are full....
